Sampson Before ( while in the shelter) & After Photo ( after being pulled, vetted and transported to his new family.

Do you REALLY need another reason to adopt or foster?????? Just look at the change in his body language.  From defeated and afraid to confident and self assured. Stories like this…..are why we rescue~

This from Sampson’s adoptive family:

Carolyne,

Well, we could not have found a better doggie for us! Sampson is just a
perfect fit! He is doing so well with doing his “biz” outside! He’s
great on a leash and has gotten into a nice routine at home. We’ve
gotten a crate for upstairs and down because we’re still carrying him up
and down the stairs. (giggle) He sleeps upstairs with us at night and
stays in his downstairs crate during the day.

This morning, we took him for his vet checkup. His paw is irritated and
bleeding, so we wanted him to be assessed. They did a laser treatment
to speed his recovery and wrapped him up really well. He weighed 45
lbs. today. We’ve got a little ways to go! They want to go in again in
six months or so and try and mitigate his testicle. They feel like it
may still be in there, as his swelling is a bit more than they are used
to and the doctor says he’d rather not take any chances, as their
experience indicates high risk of cancer later down the road.

My kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him and so do we! He just learned to get on
the couch last night! LOL! He’s so clumsy! He crawls up on it one leg
at a time. We DID finally hear him yesterday. Greg left him in the
backyard by himself why he mowed the front yard. Sampson doesn’t like
being by himself and he let us (and those within a 1/2 mile radius know!
LOL!). It was HYSTERICAL! He really doesn’t meet a stranger and loves
everyone!

I’ll continue to send you updates and pictures! :) He’s such a
loveable pup! Enjoy the pics!

Happy Thanksgiving!! This Thanksgiving we are giving thanks for YOU!
xoxo
